Going Anywhere The Muse Takes Me.
I have painted and drawn for pleasure throughout most of my life, but it wasn’t until I was divorced with two young children that I decided to turn my passion into a career. Despite having no formal art training, I was hired to paint for a greeting card company for a few years. Before long, I became a freelance Commercial Artist, a career I kept for the next fifteen years. For the following decade I forayed into the business of painting Fine Art Murals in homes and businesses. Since then, I have been able to paint solely for my own pleasure.
After twenty-five years of painting for “someone else” I found that a blank canvas could be intimidating! In 2009, I discovered the Daily Painting movement and jumped right in. It proved to be a very useful way of developing a style and forming a discipline for work. While the majority of my work is Still Life, I also enjoy painting animals, particularly Pet Portraits. Whether Still Life or Pet Portrait, I try to find a unique point of view.
